The Trinity Baptist College Eagles women’s soccer team finished its second year at 10-7-1 and a trip to the South Region final in 2016. Head coach Prince Borde will have most of his talented roster returning in 2017, and he has just fortified that roster with seven more young ladies sure to bring excitement to an already formidable team. TBC welcomes the following players:

Ariana Elliot — Lakeland, FL

2017: Sophomore transfer from Polk State College (Lakeland, Florida).

Position :  Center Midfield

Favorite scripture:  Deuteronomy 31:6 — “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Major: Business Administration-Sport Management

Coach’s Thoughts: “Ariana adds to an already talented sophomore class. She has exceptional vision and a very high soccer IQ. She brings loads of experience and is already battle tested for the college game.

Abreana Wyatt — Norfolk, VA

School: Home school

2017: Freshman

Position: Defender

Favorite scripture: 2 Timothy 2:13 — “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Major: Church Ministry – Children’s Ministry

Coach’s Thoughts: “Abreana adds a lot of pace to our team. She has the ability to get forward out of the back. Her confidence on the ball also allows her to run at players.

Cierra Warren — Jacksonville, FL

School: Ed White

2017: Freshman

Position: Defense

Favorite Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:25 — “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Major: Business Administration-Sport Management

Coach’s Thoughts:  “Cierra brings a lot of experience to the team as she was team captain of her high school team. She works very hard and is also an exceptional athlete.

Courtney Blanset — Clewiston, FL

School: Clewiston High School

2017: Freshman

Position: Midfield/Goal keeper

Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 19:21 — “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.

Major: Christian Counseling

Coach’s Thoughts: “Courtney comes from a very successful program. They were regional finalists her senior year. She was a big part of that team, scoring and making crucial saves at crucial times. She is also an exceptional athlete.

Emily Davis — Jacksonville, FL

School: Home school

2017: Freshman

Position: Defender/Midfielder

Favorite Scripture: Psalm 119:29 — “Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

Major: Interdisciplinary Studies – Pre-Law Track

Coach’s Thoughts: “Emily is a very versatile player. She can play in the midfield or in the back. She is a very good ball winner and is also very confident on the ball, which allows her to get forward.

Esmeralda Lopez — Kodiak, Alaska

School: Kodiak High School

2017: Freshman

Position: Center Midfielder

Coach’s Thoughts: “Esmeralda is the first player from Alaska to join Trinity. She was the heart and soul of her team — a very good athlete that breaks up a lot of the play and likes to get her teammates involved.

Kiley Sanders — Freeport, TX

School: Brazosport High School

2017: Freshman

Position: Defender

Favorite Scripture: Isaiah 40:29-31 — “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

Coach’s Thoughts: Kiley was instrumental in helping her high school team set a record of 19-2-1.  She brings a winning mentality to the game.  She is an excellent passer of the ball and fits right into our style of play.
