TBC women’s basketball coach Judy Allen is in hot pursuit of new recruits, and one of the first new players she has signed for the upcoming season is a two-time MVP from the Tampa Bay area. Leanna Julian brings outside shooting experience to TBC and gives the Lady Eagles extra depth.

Leanna Elizabeth Julian — Tarpon Springs, FL

Leanna is a former student of Solid Rock Community School in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She  graduated from Citrus Park Christian School in Tampa, where she played three seasons of varsity basketball under Coach Steve Miller and Coach Lauren Mann. Leanna is the daughter of Mark and Cathy Julian.

Leanna is a two-time team MVP who averaged 10 points per game for the Citrus Park Christian Eagles on 41% shooting from the field. She played in multiple leagues over the last few years, including league teams for the Salvation Army and AAU.

In the classroom, Leanna made the high honor roll two consecutive years, and her academic awards include Florida Academic Scholar, Most Dedicated Student, Highest Academic in Psychology, and Highest Academic in Dual-Enrollment Interpersonal Communications.

When asked why she chose Trinity Baptist College, Leanna commented about the intimate atmosphere the school and the community is known for: “I look forward to the small, tight-nit community that Trinity offers,” she said.

After college, Leanna plans to become a pharmaceutical sales representative. Here favorite verse is Proverbs 31:25, which says, Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.”

The Eagles welcome Leanna Julian to the women’s roster and the TBC community.
