Head Volleyball Coach Kirsten Chastain
Coach Kirsten Chastain is a life-long member of the Trinity family. She served as an assistant junior high volleyball coach for Trinity Christian Academy for two years while working through college. She then became the junior high team’s head coach for the next seven years before moving up to the junior varsity team while also serving as the varsity assistant coach for two years. Kirsten was an assistant coach for Trinity Baptist College in 2017, and this fall, she will serve her first season as the Eagles’ head coach.
Kirsten played high school volley ball for Trinity Christian Academy from seventh grade through her graduation in 2006. She then on played college volleyball for Trinity Baptist for two years until two consecutive seasons with a torn ACL ended her college career.
Following graduation from Trinity Baptist College in 2010, Kirsten began teaching at Trinity Christian Academy. She has taught elementary PE for the past four years, and she has previously taught second and fifth grades.
Kirsten is the daughter of Mr. Roger Chastain, a general contractor for Trinity Baptist Church, and Mrs. Sharon Chastain, a Trinity Christian Academy elementary school teacher. Her brother Aaron is a TCA graduate who now works as a civil engineer in Pensacola, Florida.
Kirsten is engaged to TBC’s Dr. Adam Christmas. The two will wed on March 15. Kirsten’s favorite verse is Jeremiah 17:7, which says, “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”
Kirsten described what she wants her players to learn under her leadership: “I want my players to fall in love with Christ and become the best volleyball player and best persons they can be,” she said. “I want them to develop strong moral character.” She added, “I am very excited to begin working for Trinity Baptist College and the TBC Eagles volleyball team.”
